Local environmental initiatives launched in Tierra del Fuego

Municipalities in the Tierra del Fuego region are conducting various environmental and educational activities. In Ushuaia, the Municipality organized a pedagogical and artistic day at the Bosque Yatana Urban Natural Reserve for children from the Chowen Kindergarten. Part of the “Arte y Patrimonio en el paisaje” program, the initiative used sensory and playful activities to help children interact with local flora and fauna.

In Tolhuin, the Coordination of Environment and Urban Habitat carried out a cleaning operation at the head of Lake Fagnano. The intervention aimed to remove accumulated waste and prevent pollution in a high-traffic area used by residents and tourists. Local officials emphasized that these cleaning efforts will continue in other neighborhoods and public spaces to combat micro-dumps.
