Local events held in Castro and Castro Verde

The 18th Festa do Dia de Castro concluded in Brazil with an estimated 16,000 attendees over three days at the Dario Macedo Exhibition Park. The event, which featured national musical acts including Jota Quest, Nívea Soares, and Antony e Gabriel, was rescheduled from September due to heavy rains and a local state of emergency.

In Portugal, the Castro Verde City Council is organizing a program to commemorate 50 years of democratic local power. The celebrations, scheduled for December 12, include a flag-raising ceremony, an extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly to honor local elected officials, and a photography exhibition titled “50 Anos do Poder Local Democrático em Castro Verde”. Additionally, the municipality will inaugurate the new Casével Health Extension, a project representing an investment of approximately 300,000 euros.
