Ribeirão Pires Festival do Chocolate promotes inclusion and local economy
The Festival do Chocolate 2026 by Chocolândia in Ribeirão Pires is highlighting social inclusion, sustainability, and the local creative economy. The event has provided accessibility support, including Libras interpreters, to ensure autonomy for deaf visitors and people with disabilities.
In addition to cultural attractions, the festival features a dedicated space for the creative economy, where 33 artisans sell handmade goods such as personalized souvenirs and products made from the native cambuci fruit.
Sustainability and animal welfare initiatives are also central to the program. The Tigela Cheia project facilitated the exchange of PET bottles for pet food, distributing 300 kilograms of kibble, while a responsible adoption fair resulted in 11 pets finding new homes. The ChocoPaço area also hosted wellness activities, including over 100 Reiki sessions for both humans and pets.
