Local festivals and fairs scheduled in Canyelles and Santanyí

The 24th Santa Llúcia Fair in Canyelles has been rescheduled to November 21 and 22, 2026. Originally planned for late November, the dates were moved forward by one week to avoid a conflict with the scheduled elections for the Congress. The Canyelles City Council stated the change was necessary to ensure the quality and safety of the event, which is considered the second most important Christmas fair in Catalonia.

Additionally, the Christmas light lighting ceremony in Canyelles has been moved to November 15. The Santa Llúcia Fair typically features hundreds of stalls, family activities, and exhibitions, often attracting over 110,000 visitors.

In Santanyí, the Canal'Art and Fira 2026 events are set to take place from October 23 to 25. The program includes the inauguration of the XIV Francisco Bernareggi Visual Arts Prize and the IX Maria Grimalt Night Photography Contest. The festivities will also feature contemporary art installations, a local gastronomy showcase, and a traditional parade on October 24.
