In Bocholt, police have issued a positive interim report following the first two days of the Herbstkirmes. The security operation involves the Borken district police, Dutch police, the Stadtwacht, and readiness police from Recklinghausen.

On Friday, authorities responded to 25 incidents, including cases of physical assault, theft, and missing children. On Saturday, 29 incidents were recorded, including assaults involving glass bottles and property damage. As part of an action day to combat violent crime, police conducted checks on 122 people across both days, resulting in several criminal charges and administrative offenses.

In Bergheim, the traditional Hubertusmarkt is scheduled to run from October 30 to November 8. The event, which dates back to 1544, will feature over 100 exhibitors, various rides such as the 'Konga' swing and 'Liberty Wheel' Ferris wheel, and two scheduled fireworks displays.
