Local festivals in Spain report economic growth and expansion

Local cultural events in Spain are seeing significant engagement. In Bolaños de Calatrava, the annual Feria de Bolaños reported a 23.89% increase in total revenue. This growth occurred despite the local government maintaining previous tax rates and offering municipal events free of charge. Specific sectors saw notable rises, including a 33.47% increase in revenue for refreshment stalls and a 25.87% increase for stalls and barracks.

In Valencia, the conFusión festival is returning after a one-year hiatus. The upcoming edition, scheduled for October 17 and 18, 2026, will feature over 70 free activities across the Orriols and Benimaclet neighborhoods. The festival will utilize 21 different spaces, including urban gardens and plazas, to host workshops, music, and performing arts. This edition marks a shift in scope as Orriols joins Benimaclet in hosting the parallel programming.
