Local festivals scheduled in Metz and Elbeuf

Various local festivals are taking place in France this weekend. In Metz, the sixth edition of the Water Festival is being held on September 5 and 6. The event features activities such as rowing initiations, kayak and paddle rentals, dragon boat trips, and raft descents at several sites including Quai des Régates and Bassin de la Pucelle. A highlight of the festivities is a luminous nautical parade scheduled for Saturday evening at 8:30 PM.

In Elbeuf, the 'Elbeuf sur fête' event is scheduled for Sunday, September 6. The city expects approximately 40,000 visitors for the day of commercial sales, sports demonstrations, and community activities. The event will feature guest of honor Sarah Ourahmoune, a highly decorated French boxer and Olympic silver medalist, who will participate in book signings and meet with the public.
