Local festivities and cultural honors held in Azuqueca de Henares and Villava

Local festivities are taking place across different regions of Spain. In Azuqueca de Henares, the José Luis Viejo Cycling Day drew more than 1,500 participants for an urban route. The event also served to honor the José Luis Viejo Cycling Club, which was named ‘Popular of the Year 2026’. Proceeds from a traditional community meal are being donated to the Guada Acoge association to support vulnerable groups.

In Villava, José Vicente Urabayen Azpilicueta has been selected to open the local festivities. This appointment marks the conclusion of his 33-year career as a municipal culture technician. Local officials noted his significant role in transforming the town's cultural landscape and coordinating community celebrations.
