Local fires reported in Indramayu and Situbondo

Multiple small-scale fires have been reported in different regions of Indonesia. In Indramayu, a food stall in Kandanghaur burned on Friday morning, causing an estimated loss of Rp24 million. Authorities suspect the fire was caused by nearby waste burning, which spread to the building due to strong winds. Local fire officials have issued warnings against improper waste disposal and cigarette butt disposal following several recent incidents in the area.

In Situbondo, a meatball stall known as Bakso Lava in Mimbaan caught fire on Thursday morning. The incident occurred while the stall was closed, and no injuries were reported. Preliminary investigations by the Situbondo BPBD suggest the fire may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit in a rice cooker. The semi-permanent structure sustained minor damage.
