Local food festivals celebrate tradition in Mercato San Severino and Collesalvetti

Various local community festivals have taken place across Italy, celebrating regional culinary traditions and fostering social cohesion.

In Costa, Mercato San Severino, the 18th Sagra della Lasagna and Festa dell’Ambiente concluded with a large turnout. Organized by Luigi Pergamo of Astrambiente, the week-long event featured local dishes such as lasagna, meatballs, and various regional specialties. The festival included musical performances and received institutional support from local administrations.

In Collesalvetti, Livorno, the 31st edition of the Sagra della Pizza was held at the Don Bosco Oratory. Organized by the Parish of Saints Quirico and Giulitta, the event honored the memory of local pizzaiolo Leonetto Pistoia. The festival showcased traditional Colli pizza and Tuscan cuisine, including steak and mixed grills, accompanied by nightly live music and entertainment.
