Local food festivals held in Samani and Shimonoseki

Various regional food festivals were held in Japan to showcase local specialties. In Samani, Hokkaido, the Samani Local Product Fair featured activities such as autumn salmon catching for children, potato stuffing challenges, and a mochi-throwing event. Local vendors sold products including Apoi rice, dried shiitake mushrooms, salmon, and various seafood.

In Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, the Shimonoseki Kaikyo Gourmet Fest was organized to promote the city as a culinary destination. The event featured 26 restaurants and food trucks offering regional delicacies such as tiger pufferfish hot pot, whale bone ramen, and anglerfish miso soup. The festival included a night gourmet session and special activities at the Kaikyo Messe Shimonoseki facility.
