Local German Art Exhibitions Showcase Wood Sculptures and Nature-Inspired Installations

Artist Paul Blau opened his exhibition “Schutzgeisterstunde – Objekte und Holzfiguren” on 22 August 2026 in Schweigen‑Rechtenbach. The show, held in the wine‑grower’s cellar at Weingut Brunck, features small blue wooden figures intended as protective spirits, created from purchased kindling, glue and acrylic paint. The event also included a “Klappstuhl‑Konzert” where Blau performed chansons in the courtyard.

On 30 May, a collaborative event took place in Frechen at Dr‑Schultz‑Straße 25, bringing together artist Ines Hock, poet Ruth Forschbach and botanist Peter Hochscheid. The program combined a guided walk through a natural garden, ecological artworks, and lyrical texts exploring biodiversity and the fragility of the environment. Attendees experienced an interactive blend of visual art, poetry and hands‑on garden insights aimed at highlighting the connections between nature and human creativity.
