Local government initiatives announced in Cormano and Mormanno

The municipality of Cormano has opened applications for its “Historical and Meritorious Activity” recognition. This honorary title, managed by the Urban Trade District, aims to celebrate businesses that have contributed to the economic and social history of the area through longevity and community connection. Applications must be submitted online by November 13, 2026. This local recognition is distinct from regional awards and does not include financial contributions.

In Mormanno, the municipality has secured 16,986.53 euros through the national “Crescere nei piccoli comuni 2026” funding program. The resources, provided by the Department for Family Policies, will support educational, cultural, sporting, and recreational activities for children, youth, and families. Mayor Paolo Pappaterra stated that the funding aims to foster social inclusion and intergenerational dialogue within the community.
