A scheduled court hearing regarding interim measures for the suspended President of Częstochowa, Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, has been canceled. The hearing, originally set for August 24, was called off following a court decision made on August 11.

Matyjaszczyk was detained in late February by the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA). The National Prosecutor's Office has charged him with two counts of corruption involving the acceptance of benefits totaling approximately 170,000 PLN. While prosecutors sought temporary arrest, courts have previously denied this request, opting instead for non-custodial measures, including his suspension from duties and a ban on entering the City Hall.

The defense has challenged the suspension, arguing that the evidence gathered by the prosecution is insufficient. The cancellation follows a previous decision by the Katowice-Wschód District Court regarding appeals filed by the defense.
