Local governments implement new digital and mobile services for citizens

Local governments in Argentina and Mexico are implementing new initiatives to improve citizen access to public services.

In San Cayetano, Argentina, the municipality is developing a Citizen Application as part of a Georeferenced Integral Municipal Management System. Developed in partnership with GENEOS Cooperative, the platform will allow residents to file claims, register for services, receive notifications, and manage health appointments through an integrated module. The project aims to centralize municipal tasks and use georeferenced data to optimize resource planning and decision-making.

In Sonora, Mexico, the ‘Sonora Atiende’ program has expanded its reach to the Las Peredas neighborhood. The initiative brings state agency modules directly to local communities to help citizens complete administrative procedures without the need for long-distance travel or lost workdays. Since May 2025, the program has conducted 144 service fairs across 43 municipalities, providing approximately 300,000 services to date.
