Local governments in Mexico offer credit programs for small businesses

Financial support programs are being utilized in different Mexican regions to bolster small and medium-sized enterprises (MiPymes).

In San Luis Potosí, the State Development Financing System (Sifide) is providing credit through the 'Impulso a la Economía Familiar' program. These loans range from 800 to 100,000 pesos, with repayment terms varying between 16 weeks for group financing and two to 24 months for individual loans.

In Culiacán, Sinaloa, the municipal government is promoting the 'Impulso NAFIN' program via Banca Afirme. This scheme recently supported the family business Bolsas Impresas Miner, allowing the company to acquire new printing machinery. The program offers fixed preferential rates and terms of up to 60 months without requiring the borrower to compromise their personal assets.
