Regional social inclusion initiatives launched in Chile, Mexico, and Colombia
Various regional initiatives are being implemented across Latin America to support people with disabilities and neurodivergence.
In Chile, Puerto Natales hosted training sessions for health and education professionals focused on autism detection, early intervention, and management tools.
In Mexico, DIF Saltillo provided economic support to 1,186 people with disabilities and opened registration for 23 vocational workshops. In Puebla Capital, the municipal government distributed 69 functional devices, including wheelchairs and walkers, to improve mobility and autonomy.
In Colombia, the municipality of Los Andes-Sotomayor, in coordination with the Nariño Governorate, delivered technical aids to promote social inclusion and independence for residents with disabilities.
