Local greenery initiatives launched in Łódź and Kutno

The city of Łódź has implemented an autumn tree-planting campaign to increase urban greenery and improve pedestrian comfort. Approximately 250 new trees have been planted, including 130 trees on Kusocińskiego Street—consisting of over 90 sawtooth cherries and nearly 40 common maples—and 120 trees planned for Aleja Włókniarzy. Additional plantings of small-leaved limes and maples have also taken place along Aleja Piłsudskiego.

In Kutno, a new initiative organized by the Polish Rose Society and funded by the Mayor of Kutno will distribute 1,000 free rose shrubs to residents and local institutions. The distribution is split into two pools: 500 shrubs for registered local institutions and 500 for residents holding a Kutno Resident Card. Vouchers for the plants will be distributed on October 27, with collection scheduled for November 9.
