Local grievances reported in Sierra Grande and Concordia
In Sierra Grande, resident Lidia Elizabeth Brione has formally requested technical evaluations and interventions in the Villa Hiparsa sector. Brione presented a claim to the Municipal Council following a partial collapse of her home, which she stated was caused by a water pipe leak undermining the ground. She reported that the damage affected an area of approximately 10 by 6 meters and estimated repair costs between 10 and 15 million pesos. Brione also highlighted broader infrastructure concerns in the neighborhood, including cracked walls, water leaks, and unsafe electrical and gas connections.
In Concordia, local figures Giano and Gay conducted a tour of the La Bianca area to assess municipal services and urban conditions. Residents reported issues with street maintenance, waste collection, and a lack of basic services. Concerns were also raised regarding the difficulty of accessing municipal services, as many procedures still require in-person attendance, necessitating long commutes from outlying areas. Discussions during the visit also touched upon economic challenges, including high inflation and local unemployment.
