Local history centers host Halloween-themed events

Various community organizations are hosting historical and seasonal events for the Halloween season. In Evansville, Oak Hill Cemetery will host its annual Twilight Tour on October 24. The event features live reenactments of notable residents to educate visitors on the city's history. Proceeds from ticket sales support the Evansville Adopt-An-Ash Program, which aims to protect local ash trees from the invasive emerald ash borer.

In Douglas, the Saugatuck-Douglas History Center is hosting several activities, including the Riverside Cemetery Comes Alive! walking tour on October 22. The series concludes on October 31 with the 4th Annual Douglas Halloween Party and a costume contest featuring $1,000 in prizes, followed by the Douglas Halloween Parade.
