Local honors awarded to citizens in Ploiești and Argeș

Several local honors are being awarded in Romania. In Ploiești, the late Aurelian Gogulescu will be posthumously granted the title of Honorary Citizen of the municipality. Gogulescu served as the president of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 25 years, where he was recognized for his role in supporting the economic development of Prahova County and promoting the city of Ploiești through international and national economic relations.

In Argeș County, ten individuals will receive the title of Honorary Citizen of Argeș during the Argeș and Muscel Celebrations at the Golești Museum. The recipients include mathematician Emanuel Mazăre, physician Cătălin Cârstoiu, poet Mihai Gane, and artist Smiley (Andrei Tiberiu Maria). The awards recognize various fields including culture, social services, education, research, sports, health, performing arts, business, literature, and national defense.
