Local Hubertus events held in Suche and Rzepin

The village of Sucha in the Strzelce Opolskie municipality hosted its fourth Hubertus festival. The event featured a traditional procession, equestrian displays, and a fox hunt involving riders from various regions. The festival included country-style performances by local students, stand-up comedy, and entertainment for children.

In addition to the festivities, the event served as a fundraiser for Marcel Piontka from Szymiszów. Proceeds from the festival, along with donations from local contributors including a DJ and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts, are being directed toward his medical treatment.

Separately, preparations are underway for the eighth St. Hubert Run in the Rzepin Forest, scheduled for October 24, 2026. The 10-kilometer race will traverse Starościna, Rzepin, and forest paths, with a participant limit of 250 people. The event is organized by the Forestry Technical School in Starościna, the Rzepin Municipality, and the Rzepin Forest District.
