Local industrial festivals held in Kesennuma and Okinawa

Various regional industrial festivals are taking place in Japan. In Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, the 40th Kesennuma City Industrial Festival is scheduled for October 25 at the Kesennuma Fish Market. The event features the sale of local products from the fishery, commerce, agriculture, and forestry sectors. Highlights include serving straw-grilled bonito to 700 people, a lottery with prizes such as shark fin and rice, and various activities including a fish market guided tour and woodworking workshops.

In Okinawa, Kumesen Shuzo is hosting a ‘WEB Industrial Festival’ via its official online shop from October 22 to October 31. This online event follows the cancellation of the 50th Okinawa Industrial Festival. The digital sale features special products, including the Naha Distillery’s first single malt Japanese whisky and a limited edition revival of the Kumesen Green Bottle awamori.
