In Puebla, Mexico, Mayor Pepe Chedraui Budib inaugurated new paving on Cuauhtémoc private road in the Guadalupe Hidalgo neighborhood. The project, part of the ‘Calles Al 100’ strategy, covers 980 square meters and aims to improve mobility for over 10,900 residents. The infrastructure work included the installation of curbs, sidewalks, ramps, bollards, and lighting, as well as horizontal and vertical signaling.
In Cayma, Peru, mayoral candidate Jaime Chávez of the Progresemos party has outlined his platform focusing on public security, transportation, and health. Chávez, who previously served as mayor from 2019 to 2022, proposes a second stage for citizen security by upgrading surveillance technology, connecting cameras to local police stations, and using solar energy to improve street lighting to deter crime.
