Local infrastructure improvements underway in Páramo del Sil and Alcalá de los Gazules

Local authorities in Spain are implementing various road infrastructure improvements to address safety and transit concerns. In Páramo del Sil, the City Council and the Anllares Neighborhood Council have conducted emergency patching on the old Valdeprado mining road. This intervention, costing approximately 5,000 euros, aims to mitigate deep potholes that pose risks to drivers. However, Mayor Alicia García described the work as a “very temporary” solution, noting that a comprehensive renovation remains pending through a 700,000 euro agreement between the Junta de Castilla y León and the Diputación de León.

In Alcalá de los Gazules, construction has concluded on the CA-6200 road near the El Prado neighborhood. The project, supported by the Diputación Provincial de Cádiz, involved replacing a deteriorated retaining wall with a new 100-meter structure. The works also included the creation of a new shoulder for vehicle safety and a concrete sidewalk to improve pedestrian access and connectivity within the neighborhood.
