Local infrastructure projects announced in Lucena and Llanes
The municipality of Lucena has expanded the scope and budget of its new municipal pavilion project as part of its Integrated Action Plan (PAI). Mayor Aurelio Fernández stated that the project's dimensions and budget have increased from the initial 770,000 euros to ensure the permanent structure is versatile and avoids the need for future expansions. The facility is designed to host festivals, fairs, exhibitions, and concerts, featuring modern audiovisual equipment and sustainable materials. The project is nearing completion and will soon move to the contracting phase for bidding.
In Llanes, the City Council has launched a tender for 103,751.80 euros to install 92 new lighting points across the town and 27 rural population centers. The initiative aims to improve safety for pedestrians and drivers in areas with insufficient visibility. The project includes 12 lights for the capital and 80 for rural locations such as Los Callejos, Turanzas, and Bricia. The installation will utilize high-efficiency LED technology with warm color temperatures to reduce energy consumption and light pollution.
