Local infrastructure projects in Dâmbovița and Vaslui, Romania
In Dâmbovița County, the Dâmbovița County Council is funding a water supply network expansion for the Râul Alb commune. This investment, part of the Local Development Program, aims to complete a project that had previously been stalled due to a lack of funds. Additionally, the Dâmbovița County Council has made a second request to the Prahova County Council to temporarily take over a 6-kilometer section of the DJ 713 TransBucegi road. The goal is to finance the rehabilitation and modernization of this mountain route to improve tourist access to the Bucegi Plateau.
In Vaslui, the Vaslui City Hall has completed two projects funded by European funds, though both faced delays and increased costs. The rehabilitation of the Mihail Sadoveanu Middle School, funded through the PNRR, resulted in the local budget covering over 1 million lei more than originally estimated. Similarly, the construction of a depot for Transurb trolleybuses exceeded its initial budget by nearly 7 million lei. Local municipal councilors must now approve new technical indicators to allow the municipality to claim the remaining funds from contracting authorities.
