Local initiatives in the Netherlands support students

In Dronten, primary school students from grades 4 through 8 will receive free access to school skating at Winterwereld Dronten for the next three years. This initiative is funded by a contribution from Rabobank’s cooperative dividend. To ensure accessibility, bus transportation will be provided for students from Biddinghuizen and Swifterbant.

In the Dordrecht and Papendrecht region, ferry operator Riveer has introduced a paper-based student subscription option for travelers up to age 17. This follows the standard digital subscription available via the Riveer app, providing an alternative for students without smartphones. The paper subscription requires a €25 processing fee and is manually handled and sent by mail.
