Local initiatives support entrepreneurs in Argentina and Chile

Local governments and regional organizations in Argentina and Chile are implementing initiatives to support small businesses and entrepreneurs.

In Bernal, Argentina, interim Mayor Eva Mieri oversaw the delivery of business licensing certificates to local shops, including Vintrash and Blanquería Salum. The municipal administration has introduced a program to provide free business licenses and a virtual portal to reduce bureaucracy and eliminate the need for intermediaries.

In Quirihue, Chile, 15 entrepreneurs have begun participating in the Reactivation Support Program (PAR). Driven by Corparauco with a 90 million peso investment, the program provides 6 million pesos to each beneficiary. These funds are split between 5 million pesos for equipment and supplies and 1 million pesos for training and development, targeting sectors such as gastronomy, tourism, and lodging.
