Local leaders in Uruapan and Tototlán address justice and social development

In Uruapan, Michoacán, Municipal President Grecia Quiroz used the Independence Day ceremony to call for justice following the murder of her husband, former mayor Carlos Manzo. Manzo was killed on November 1, 2025, during Day of the Dead festivities. Quiroz stated she would not allow impunity to halt her political and social projects and vowed to continue efforts to clarify the circumstances of the homicide.

In Tototlán, Jalisco, Mayor Abel Vázquez Villalpando presented his second government activity report. The report highlighted social development efforts, including an investment of over 23 million pesos to support families affected by floods in September 2025. Additionally, Vázquez addressed political affiliation changes and outlined initiatives regarding security, education, and business licensing within the municipality.
