Local literary events held in Oosterzele and Torhout

Several literary and community events are taking place in Belgian municipalities. In Oosterzele, author Sien Lievens and illustrator Nele Van Winghem held a presentation for their new book, ‘Feeërieke Flora’. The work is a collection of fairy tales, legends, and folklore that explain the characteristics of 22 wild plants, ranging from Greek mythology to Flemish folklore.

In Torhout, the town is hosting activities centered around the children's book character Wilma Wonder, created by author Hanne Luyten. The program includes a reading session at the local library featuring the story ‘Wilma Wonder en de stoepkrijtruzie’, as well as a winter scavenger hunt through the city center running from December 12 to January 3.
