Local markets and traffic changes scheduled across Italy
Various local markets and community events are scheduled for Sunday, November 1, across different Italian regions, necessitating temporary traffic restrictions.
In Voltri, the traditional Fiera di San Carlo will take place from 8:00 to 20:00. Organized by the Municipality of Genoa, the event will feature approximately 90 stalls in Piazza Gaggero, Piazza Villa Giusti, and Vico Tiro, offering crafts and local gastronomic specialties. To accommodate the fair, traffic and parking restrictions will begin at midnight in several areas, including Piazza Gaggero, Piazza Nicolò da Voltri, and Piazza Villa Giusti. Specific transit corridors will remain open for authorized vehicles and emergency services.
In the Empoli area, the “Il mercato va in frazione” initiative will bring a weekly market to the Cascine and Ponzano locations between 8:00 and 20:00. The event, held in the parking area between Via Cantino Cantini and Via dei Cappuccini, is part of a local proximity commerce plan. Traffic bans and parking restrictions will be in effect on Via Cantino Cantini from 06:00 until 22:00 to facilitate the market and subsequent street cleaning.
