Local mayoral candidates present platforms in Peru

Candidates for local mayoral offices in Peru have presented their campaign platforms. In Mi Perú, Katia Santamaría of Renovación Popular is focusing on youth development and security. Her proposals include establishing the Casa de la Juventud de Mi Perú to provide training, culture, and sports, as well as installing security cameras in local markets.

In Andrés Avelino Cáceres Dorregaray, Javier Navarro Gonzales of Batalla Perú is proposing a municipal restructuring to reduce administrative costs. His platform emphasizes modernizing citizen security through new surveillance cameras and motorized units, formalizing property titles to improve economic access, and reviewing property tax rates. Navarro, a former mayor, also aims to promote private investment through infrastructure projects.
