Firenze stadium renovations progress for EURO 2032
Massimo Sessa, the extraordinary commissioner for stadiums and sports infrastructure, has expressed optimism regarding the ongoing reconstruction of the Artemio Franchi stadium in Florence. The project, which aims for completion by 2029, is being managed through a partnership involving the Municipality of Florence and project financing from the Fiorentina family.
Sessa highlighted the administrative efforts of the Florence municipal offices, describing the city as a model for how historical structures can be modernized. The stadium's development is part of the broader preparations for the EURO 2032 tournament, which Italy will co-host with Turkey. While the UEFA will conduct evaluations and the FIGC will make final selections, the Florence site remains a key contender among Italian venues.
