Local municipalities expand petanque facilities in Spain and Hungary
Local governments in Jaén, Spain, and Campamento, Hungary, are expanding sports infrastructure by constructing new petanque courts to meet rising community demand.
In Jaén, the City Council is building two new petanque courts in the Polígono de El Valle area. The project utilizes a previously unused green space adjacent to existing courts. Officials stated the initiative aims to provide better facilities for local sports groups and elderly residents, fostering social interaction and healthy leisure activities.
In Campamento, the City Council has completed the construction of six new petanque courts at Finca Los Russo. These modern, accessible facilities are part of an ongoing effort to transform the finca into a primary public space for sports and community gathering. The new courts are intended to enhance the area's capacity for local residents to engage in the sport.
