Local music festivals held in Heerlen and Haarlo

The Mosae Zappa festival is celebrating its tenth edition in Heerlen on November 20 and 21. The event features a diverse program including jazz, poetry, and music inspired by Frank Zappa. Participating artists include groups from Portugal, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. Key activities include a free opening concert by the Portuguese collective Project Z at Café Bluff, a tribute to Ike Willis at Culturele Makkers, and a main concert program at Nieuwe Nor.

In Haarlo, the PZF festival concluded its recent edition on November 1. The event saw increased attendance compared to the previous year, featuring an Après Ski Safari and performances by regional artists such as De Bellebloazers, De Sleppers, and DROCK. A unique feature of the weekend included a barber station where attendees could dye their hair yellow or shave their heads.
