Local music festivals scheduled in Houten and Heino

Various local music events are taking place in the Netherlands. In Houten, the Bandmarathon is returning to Theater Aan de Slinger for its third edition. Organized by Bram Alblas, the event features eleven local bands performing throughout the afternoon and evening. The marathon includes a jam session and dancing, with free admission supported by the municipality and the Entrepreneurs Fund.

In Heino, the 14th edition of the Open Muziekestafette is scheduled for October 2026 at the Nicolaaskerk. The event will feature 52 performances centered around the theme of ‘Family’. This year’s edition includes a celebration of the music association Ons Het orkest van Ons Genoegen, which is approaching its 100th anniversary. While admission is free, donations are encouraged via QR code to support future editions.
