Local nature and sports events held in Viseu and Águeda

The Campo parish in Viseu hosted the inaugural Luzia Track, an event combining cycling and hiking to promote local natural landscapes. Organized by the Junta de Freguesia do Campo with support from the Viseu Municipality and various local organizations, the initiative aimed to foster community engagement and highlight the region's trails. Organizers have expressed intentions to continue the project in future years.

In Águeda, the Eco Rios initiative led approximately 30 participants on a kayak excursion through the Pateira de Fermentelos. This activity, a partnership between the Águeda Municipality and the ARCOR association, focused on environmental awareness and the exploration of one of the largest natural lagoons in the Iberian Peninsula. The program aligns with Águeda's recognition as a European Green Leaf 2026, emphasizing the municipality's commitment to sustainability and healthy outdoor lifestyles.
