Local officials in Bavaria honor long-serving employees and volunteers
In the Dillingen district of Bavaria, 17 individuals were honored for their long-term service as field jurors (Feldgeschworene). The group, which includes five people with over 50 years of service, received certificates from the Bavarian Ministry of Finance. These volunteers play a role in mediating between citizens and authorities regarding boundary matters. Herta Rau, head of the Office for Digitalization, Broadband, and Surveying, emphasized that despite digital surveying advancements, these volunteers remain essential for constructive local dispute resolution.
In a separate ceremony in Starnberg, District Administrator Stefan Frey honored more than 50 employees of the Starnberg District Office for their long-term commitment. The honorees, who have served between 10 and 45 years, represent a combined total of nearly 1,000 years of service. The recognition highlighted the diverse professional backgrounds within the administration and the value of their experience in supporting the public.
