Local officials in Ivory Coast and Guinea urge youth to pursue vocational training

In Bouaké, Ivory Coast, Deputy and First Deputy Mayor Paul Dakuyo has called on young people to embrace professional opportunities without prejudice. During a meeting in the Koko district, Dakuyo addressed youth unemployment, noting that the arrival of new businesses in Bouaké creates potential openings. He specifically encouraged graduates to accept various roles, including security positions, to gain experience and build their futures, emphasizing that no honest profession should be despised.

Similarly, in Beyla, Guinea, Second Deputy Mayor Frébory Donzo has advised the youth to look beyond university degrees. Donzo highlighted vocational training and agriculture as essential sectors for professional integration and local development. He argued that practical skills, such as electrical work, provide autonomy and economic benefits even if formal employment is not immediately secured.
