Local officials visit fire departments for Firefighters Week

In observance of Firefighters Week, local officials and political representatives held visits to honor emergency personnel in various regions of Turkey.

A delegation from the Republican People's Party (CHP) visited the Akçaabat Fire Group Command under the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality. CHP District Chairman Gökhan Gedikli met with staff to discuss working conditions and commend their service, noting the importance of the 309-year-old fire brigade in society.

In İzmir, Urla Mayor Selçuk Balkan visited the Urla Fire Group. During a breakfast meeting with fire department officials and local leaders, Balkan emphasized the high fire risk in the Urla region. He highlighted the necessity of rapid response and coordination with relevant institutions to protect lives and property during the summer months.
