Local outdoor community initiatives in Beskidy and Bytom

Local community activities are being promoted through outdoor excursions in the Beskidy and Bytom regions. In Bielsko-Biała, the #AktywnaEkipa initiative is organizing an evening e-MTB ride through the Beskidy mountains. The nearly 30km route, featuring over 1000m of elevation gain, is designed to visit locations like Magurka, Gaiki, and Chrobacza Łąka to view the city's night panorama. The event aims to integrate local communities through physical activity.

In Bytom, guided walks are being held at the Żabie Doły nature reserve. Led by a PTTK guide, these walks explore the area's ecological and industrial history. Once a site for zinc, lead, and coal mining and an industrial landfill, the area has transitioned into a natural landscape containing 30% of Poland's breeding bird species. These walks are organized by Miasta Gwarków in cooperation with the Bytom City Hall.
