Local outdoor leadership training programs launched in Germany

Various regional organizations in Germany are offering specialized training for outdoor activity leaders. In Aschau im Chiemgau, the DAV-Sektion Hagen conducted a seven-day hiking leader training program. The curriculum for the twelve participants included meteorology, leadership techniques, orientation, environmental education, and first aid, combining theoretical instruction with intensive practical field exercises.

In Bochum, the ADFC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club) is introducing its first local certification program to train TourGuides. Led by chairperson Sandra Weber, the training focuses on tour planning and group safety in traffic. The first session is scheduled for March 19–21, 2027, and successful graduates will receive a nationally recognized ADFC certificate valid for three years.
