Local playground developments announced in Unterreichenbach and Wiesbaden
Local communities in Germany are advancing new recreational spaces for children. In Unterreichenbach, a new water playground has opened in the Ortspark. The project was made possible through financial support from the municipal support association, which provided 10,000 euros, and the Volksbank Pforzheim.
The new facility replaces a previous site that had to be closed for safety reasons. The new location is designed to integrate with the town center using red variegated sandstone.
In Wiesbaden, the city has launched a public participation process to redesign the Blücherplatz playground in the Westend district. Starting October 1, residents, families, and children can submit ideas via online platforms or in-person meetings. The goal is to create an inclusive space with diverse play and movement options, improved greenery, and accessibility for children of various abilities.
