Local police recruitment processes underway in Teramo and Termoli

Municipalities in Italy are proceeding with significant recruitment processes for their local police forces.

The Municipality of Teramo has officially launched a public competition to appoint a new Commander of the Local Police. The position is a full-time, permanent managerial role. Candidates must hold a degree in Law, Political Science, or Administrative Sciences, and will undergo rigorous testing, including written exams and oral interviews covering administrative law, traffic codes, urban security, and judicial police regulations.

In Termoli, the municipality has finalized a long-standing recruitment process for local police officers following a legal dispute. After a Council of State ruling overturned previous administrative acts, a new oral examination was conducted by a renewed commission. This process results in the termination of 11 existing employment relationships and the hiring of 16 new permanent staff members, including 10 winners of the competition and 6 eligible candidates from the ranking list.
