Local political and infrastructure developments in Italy

In Scafati, local councilor Maria Berritto has officially joined the Forza Italia party. The move was announced by regional, provincial, and city secretaries Fulvio Martusciello, Roberto Celano, and Luca Celiberti, who stated the membership strengthens the party's presence and commitment to the Salerno province.

In Martinsicuro, the Abruzzo Region has commissioned a new design project for the local tourist port to address chronic sedimentation issues that have hindered the harbor's functionality for over twenty years. Funded by 5 million euros from the 2021–2027 Cohesion Development Fund, the project includes a technical-economic feasibility study and an executive design. Local official Luciano Giansante noted the project aims to support small-scale fishing and potentially link Martinsicuro with the ports of Roseto and Giulianova through maritime tourism routes.
