Local political appointments in Taranto and Misterbianco

Alexia Serio has been elected unanimously as the president of the Equal Opportunities Commission for the Municipality of Taranto. She succeeds Luana Riso, who has transitioned to a new role as the assessor for Heritage and Demographic Services.

In Misterbianco, Marina Virgillito has been appointed to the Functional Management Group of the Regional Guarantor for Childhood and Adolescence. Nominated by Mayor Marco Corsaro, Virgillito will assist the regional guarantor, Giovanna Perricone, in developing policies and programming for minors in Sicily, utilizing the social policy models developed in Misterbianco.
