Local political candidates announce bids in Slovenia and Croatia

Local political candidates have announced their intentions for upcoming municipal elections in Slovenia and Croatia.

In Markovci, Slovenia, Mayor Milan Gabrovec has declared his candidacy for re-election. Gabrovec stated his intention to complete ongoing projects, including the development of a multi-generational center for seniors, improvements to transport and communal infrastructure, and the enhancement of water supply systems.

In Nova Gradiška, Croatia, the Independent List ‘Nova Gradiška za sve!’ has begun collecting signatures for its mayoral candidates. Borislav Vidošić is running for mayor, with Bernard Kumić Berny as his deputy. Their platform focuses on providing a stable alternative to existing political structures, with specific emphasis on waste management, expanding kindergarten shifts to accommodate working parents, and improving after-school programs in schools.
