Local political shifts in Agrigento and Grottaferrata

In Agrigento, Mayor Michele Sodano has appointed Roberto Nobile as the new municipal secretary, succeeding Maria Concetta Floresta. Nobile, who has been working in Northern Italy for several years, was selected from 19 candidates based on his technical, legal, and managerial expertise. The appointment follows a selection process that began in August and will now proceed to the Sicilian regional section of the Register of Municipal and Provincial Secretaries for formalization.

Meanwhile, in Grottaferrata, political factions are preparing for municipal elections following the early dissolution of the City Council in March. The council was dissolved after the resignation of nine members, leading to the appointment of extraordinary commissioner Filippo Santarelli. The center-right coalition is currently working to build a platform and coalition, involving groups such as 'Siamo Grottaferrata' and 'Progetto Futuro Grottaferrata' led by Alessandro Cocco.
