Local political shifts reported in Cambrils and Cerdanyola del Vallès
In Cambrils, Enric Daza has officially transitioned to the role of non-attached councillor following his departure from Junts per Cambrils - Compromís Municipal. During an extraordinary plenary session, Daza criticized the management of the Junts party, citing suspended primaries and internal discrepancies as reasons for his decision. He announced his intention to lead the Aliança Catalana project in the municipality ahead of the May 2027 municipal elections.
In Cerdanyola del Vallès, Guanyem councillors Adrià Guimerà and Anna Montfort have announced they will renounce their 862.42 euro gross remuneration from an extraordinary plenary session. The funds will be donated to the resistance fund of the Confederació Sindical d'Habitatge de Catalunya (COSHAC) to support the general strike scheduled for November 11. The councillors stated the move is intended to protest high payments for short sessions while citizens face housing and financial difficulties.
